I like to take photos though I am not good at it. For today’s challenge, I am to post a photo that I have taken.

This photo was taken last May when my friend and I went on a trip to the north. I forgot to bring my digital camera so I settled taking photos using my mobile phone.
Many Filipinos have not been in this place as it is difficult to go to. There is no nearby airport so the “fastest” way is an approximately 12-hour car ride.
I love this place. As a city girl, I always want to experience the countryside. The unpolluted air, freshly picked crops, chilly wind and simple and friendly people, and breath-taking sights make every tourist wish to stay longer.
Located 275km north of Manila, Sagada is considered as the Mountain Paradise of the country. It is most famous for its hanging coffins, a local tradition of burying their dead.

Aside from that, the place is teeming of natural wonders that would really charm anyone. From rice terraces, caves, falls, echo valley, kiltepan tower, Underground River, and various mountain peaks, tourists won’t be bored. There will be lots of activities that can occupy their time in the stay. Trekking, spelunking, exploring waterfalls, rappelling, nature hiking, are few of the interesting activities to do.

Princess Monica, those terraces are not in the Philippines. They are in Ubud, Bali!

Whoa, really? I didn’t know Indonesia also have rice terraces in mountains though I wasn’t surprised. Your majestic Borobudur temple may be one of inspirations in creating the rice paddies.
I went to Sagada though the original and oldest (like more than 2000 years old, I think) can be found in Banaue, Philippines.
