The Stone Guardian by Theresa McClinton
Tagline: When myth becomes reality, reality becomes a nightmare.
Description:
Like any other teenager in America, Ashley just wants a normal life. But growing up in an orphanage for the insane is anything but normal. After endless therapy and increasing medication, her nightmares have only gotten worse.
Probably because they’re not nightmares.
When Ashley’s mysteriously abducted, she finds a reality even less normal than the orphanage. And she discovers something else—she’s no ordinary orphan. Faced with enemies thought to only exist in fairy tales, Ashley discovers she possesses a powerful Maya bloodline. She’s the daughter of an ancient Maya Guardian, whose duty is to protect the Stone of Muuk’ich, an enchanted relic blessed by the gods. But first she must get it back from Sarian, a power-hungry demigod who slaughtered the last guardian—Ashley’s mother. Without the stone, all will be lost.
When she meets Arwan, a hot Belizean time bender, his delicious olive skin and dark eyes make her feel a little less alone. But his gentle whispers and reassuring touch might not be all they seem. How can she balance love and duty when it’s up to her to prevent the rising of the underworld? Especially when the guy she loves might be its crown prince…

About the Author:
A long time enthusiast of things that go bump in the night, Theresa started her writing career as a journalism intern—possibly the least creative writing field out there. After her first semester at a local newspaper, she washed her hands of press releases and features articles to delve into the whimsical world of young adult paranormal romance.
Since then, Theresa has gotten married, had three terrific kids, moved to central Ohio, and was repeatedly guilt tripped into adopting a menagerie of animals that are now members of the family. But don’t be fooled by her domesticated appearance. Her greatest love is travel. Having stepped foot on the soil of over a dozen countries, traveled to sixteen U.S. states—including an extended seven-year stay in Kodiak, Alaska—she is anything but settled down. But wherever life brings her, she will continue to weave tales of adventure and love with the hope her stories will bring joy and inspiration to her readers.

Krystal’s Enchanting Reads …

Reblogged this on the world behind the lens and commented:
Ohhh. I want to read this
Gonna look for online source .
Hi there. Thanks for reblogging this! I hope you will be able to read this. Don’t forget to enter my giveaways!
Hello
Guess you’re my senior, right?
I was wondering if you knew a free online reading website with this book. I really want to get started with this book after our break.
Hi, hmm. I’m not so sure about being senior. I’m only twelve, you know.
I don’t know about a free online site for this, but if you join the giveaway, I hope that you will be able to win a copy. And oh, there’s also a cash prize involved!
You’re only twelve? Really? Your other message said that you started wearing glasses on your sophomore year. Did you skip grades or something?
Another thing, how do I enter the giveaway?
I was kidding, of course. I’m a decade older than that
Just go to the rafflecopter link and do the tasks per entry. For easier navigation, you may go to my Giveaways tab and you can see my posts with ongoing giveaways. Thanks!
Okay. Thanks
I think you were testing me a bit, am I right?
Hahaha
Oh gosh. I’m interested in some of the giveaways but sadly I can’t access most of it, it says that I need to be 18 and above.
Hiya! Thanks so much for reblogging my giveaway.

Nica, it’s not working still… It shows that it’s hyperlinked (blue colored) but it doesnt lead to anywhere…
Oh my. Yes, I have checked now. Oh dear. Wait. I will tweak it some more…
Naz! It is now working! Please check it out. Thanks!
Hey guys! I’m sorry I didn’t see this until now, but if you can’t get the Rafflecopter working correctly, you can visit this link where the Rafflecopter is also posted. Sometimes the widgets aren’t very cooperative, and I made a backup on my website just in case.

Thanks a lot for checking my site, Theresa. I have contacted another blogger in the tour who successfully inserted the link and she was kind enough to share me the details. I think it is now working.
My review will go live this Friday and I hope you will like it.
I will also be in touch should there be any query on the tour. Thank you very much for giving us the chance to read and share your book. I hope my followers will also like it.

I am glad to be able to host your tour, Theresa. Let’s have fun interacting with your readers, shall we?
Wow, I cant Theresa actually addressed me by my name!… Star struck!.. haha… It’s working now, Nica and am super excited to join this giveaway!.. Fingers crossed.. Would love to win!
You are too cute, Naz. Good luck!
I’m so excited to see your readers excited about this giveaway, Monica! I’m totally here to chat it up and hang out–that’s my favorite part!
**giggle** Neenz, you’re too cute!
Monica, I read your “about me” section and see you are a Polyglot! That’s amazing. I’m bilingual–English and Arabic. English is my first language. I used to live on Kodiak Island in Alaska and we had a very large Filipino population there. All of the Filipino girls were so sweet! That’s what I remember most about them. I’ve never been to Korea but I’d love to go. I’ve done quite a bit of traveling, but never to the ‘Asias.’
How did you come to learn so many languages? Or are they very similar with different accents? That would be helpful; sort of like Spanish and Italian.
I’m loving this blog! I’d like to spotlight it after the tour is over if you’re up for it?
OH!!! And I have ANOTHER giveaway going on right now. There are gift cards and another chance to win a copy of The Stone Guardian. I’m doing it with a few other authors from my press. Check it out! http://theresamcclinton.com/what-i-really-want-for-christmas-ya-giveaway/
There! Now your readers have THREE chances to win! Yay!
Theresa, that’s awesome!!.. Entered that giveaway too…. You are so down to earth, it’s unbelievable!…
Oh cool! I’m glad you entered that giveaway too, Neenz! I saw you on Twitter!
So cool. And I try to just be myself–I’m glad you’re down with that! haha.
Looking forward to being on Impressions of a Princess again tomorrow! Make sure to swing in. I’ll miss you if you’re not there!
Don’t worry, Theresa. It seems Naz is your avid fan already. And I am, too! I just envy you in a way. Naz, I think I’m not yet your friend in twitter.
I am indeed her avid fan
… You now are my friend on Twitter… yay!
I definitely didn’t miss it. Had missed seeing this comment though until now. You are too sweet!!
